HHES aims to develop practical heat-driven energy systems through careful engineering and measured validation. The patented MDE architecture is now being developed across multiple scales.
The company remains in engineering and pre-commercial development.

ORIGINS
Years of investigation and refinement.
The engine investigation grew alongside David Bird’s study of poverty, productivity, energy, and the ideas that later became Energy: Capitalism vs. Socialism. His early interest in hot-air engines began largely as a personal engineering project.
The 2008 tapered/frustum geometry and 2010 model work were followed by years of sketches, calculations, notebook research, and patent development. HHES formed in 2023, and the U.S. patent issued in 2026.
Today, HHES is developing MDE-based systems for combined heat and power, electricity generation, and education.
